Consultation

A consultation with Dr. Avirett is typically the best place to start when considering an evaluation or therapy. A consultation may be helpful if your child is struggling in the home or school setting and you are unsure of why or what to do. Consultation appointments take approximately one hour. During this time, you will discuss any problems your child is having, patterns you see developing, and what techniques you or the school have already tried. Through a consultation appointment, Dr. Avirett may help you decide if therapy or an evaluation would be appropriate for your child, or, if there are certain behavioral techniques that may be helpful to try first.
